My cousin (kind of? lol)/friend, Linda, had a great question, that I thought I'd reply to as a post. She basically asked if anyone in Ukraine knows that I'm pregnant and if we foresee that as a problem.
Our facilitator there DOES know that I'm pregnant. She's the one who RR connected us with to facilitate our adoption in Ukraine and RR has a great relationship with her. She's helped lots of RR families bring home their babies. (The RR director and most of my close RR friends do know I'm pregnant as well.) But we're using kind of a "don't ask, don't tell" policy with the gov't officials. It may not matter to them at all, but at this point we're looking at it that it would be best just not to share if they don't ask. No need to create a possible problem. We didn't find out until most of our paperwork was done (homestudy, medicals, etc.) so it isn't written in any paperwork. BUT we definitely won't lie about it. And if they do find out, oh well... we'll just pray for the best! I'm so confident that this adoption AND this new baby were both Gods plan that I'm not really concerned about that being an issue. I definitely have a peace about it all. Just pray! Thanks for that question!
WE LEAVE IN TWO DAYS!!!
