Six years ago tonight my world changed forever. I became a mommy. After 22 hours of labor, our little sweet girl Ashley came into the world and surprised us all (we didn't know for sure, but really thought she was going to be a boy!). She had the most beautiful eyes and sweet round cheeks. 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long. Born at 10:03pm.

She is one amazing kid. Tonight on the way home from church she was asking if they nailed Jesus' feet to the cross too or if it was just His hands. I told her it was both and then explained that when we get to heaven we'll get to see those holes. Which she thought was awesome. And reminded ME that it was because He loves us all so much. Then she told me out of the blue that Micah's first mommy and daddy probably didn't want him because he wasn't what they thought that he would be. But that Jesus sure loves him the way he is. :) Never would have dreamed six years ago tonight that I'd be having these sorts of conversations with that little blue eyed baby in the delivery room.
